On the mornings of September 24 and 25, AECS was invited to participate in the "2020 Nantong-Xi'an Communication Conference on Research Cooperation between Enterprises and Universities" organized by the Science and Technology Bureau of Nantong City.
A group of 60 delegates from Nantong went to four universities in Xi’an to visit Xidian University Museum, Creative and Cultural Center and Mass Innovative Space of Xi’an Polytechnic University, MIIT Key Laboratory for Metal Additive Manufacturing and Innovative Design of Northwestern Polytechnical University, State Key Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Collaborative Innovation Center for High-end Manufacturing Equipment, International Joint Laboratory for Micro/Nano Manufacturing and Measurement Technology, Joint Laboratory for 3D Printing Technology and Quality Evaluation of Medical Devices of Xi’an Jiaotong University, MIIT Key Laboratory for Aero-Engine High-Performance Manufacturing and Education Ministry Project Research Center for Advanced Aero-Engine Manufacturing of Northwestern Polytechnical University.

On the afternoon of September 25, "2020 Nantong-Xi'an Communication Conference on Research Cooperation between Enterprises and Universities" kicked off. The conference was aimed at following up, introducing and applying sci-tech innovative resources in Xi’an, promoting timely and exact matching of technical demands and technical fruits, extending the depth and range of technical cooperation, enhancing collaborative innovation level, accelerating the high-quality development of Nantong “3+3” Key Industries.
Shi Yongjun, Head of Regional Innovation Department of Science and Technology Bureau of Nantong City, presided at the conference. Sun Qingshan, Party Member and Assistant to Director of Science and Technology Bureau of Nantong City, gave an introduction about the social and economic development, and the scientific and technological innovation in Nantong. Mr. Li Chengfu, Vice Dean of Standing Committee of Science and Education Development Department of Xi’an Jiaotong University, addressed the conference on behalf of the universities in Xi’an. Chen Jianfeng, Vice Director of Management Committee of Nantong Shibei Hi-tech Zone, announced the talent recruitment policy of Nantong city. Many universities displayed their latest scientific and technological achievements through multimedia presentation, including Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xidian University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an Polytechnic University，Northwest University, Xi’an University of Technology, Chang’an University.
At last, the experts from Xi’an universities and Nantong entrepreneurs exchanged ideas in multiple forms about application fields, commercial values and market prospects of the scientific and technological achievements, which led to some new intentions of cooperation between the industry and the university. In this event, AECS got to know more supportive policies in start-ups, financing and project subsidizing, which would provide more drive for AECS’ innovative development.
