On September 20, the 2025 World Manufacturing Convention - New Energy Vehicle Industry Cluster Development Matching Meeting was grandly held in Hefei, Anhui Province. Focusing on industrial collaborative innovation and high-quality development, the meeting attracted a large number of leading enterprises and scientific research institutions in the industry. AECS participated deeply in this grand event. It not only witnessed the new blueprint for the development of Anhui's new energy vehicle industry, but also signed the key project "R&D and Industrialization of Automotive-Grade Chips Based on RISC-V Instruction Set Architecture" on-site with Anhui Automotive Innovation Center, ChipV and JAC Motors. With practical actions, it helps Anhui build an intelligent automotive technology and industrial innovation center with international influence.
The RISC-V automotive-grade chip project signed this time directly addresses the major strategic needs of automotive intelligent upgrading and the safety and controllability of the automotive chip industry chain, and promotes the localization process of automotive electronic control systems. The project will focus on overcoming the "bottleneck" problems in the current field of RISC-V automotive-grade MCU chips, including key pain points such as fragmented technology ecology, lack of functional safety verification systems, and lagging R&D of high-functional safety IP cores. Through the collaboration of the four parties, it will integrate AECS' technical accumulation in the electronic control field, the industrial resource integration capability of Anhui Automotive Innovation Center, the core IP technical advantages of ChipV, and the whole-vehicle application scenario support of JAC Motors. It will build an independent, controllable and market-competitive RISC-V automotive-grade MCU chip industry chain and supply chain, lay a solid technical foundation for the high-quality development of China's automotive chip industry, and at the same time provide key core component support for the construction of Anhui's automotive industry cluster.
Project Signing Ceremony - R&D and Industrialization of Automotive-Grade Chips Based on RISC-V Instruction Set Architecture
During the event, Yu Shuhuai, General Manager of AECS, clearly stated that Anhui, as a core position for the development of China's new energy vehicle industry, its development concept of "adhering to innovation as the foundation and promoting growth through strength" is highly consistent with the company's strategy. This signing is the starting point for deepening cooperation among multiple parties and an important signal for AECS to deepen its presence in the Anhui market. In the future, our company will accelerate its development pace in Anhui from three aspects: First, expand the investment scale. Centering on the implementation of this chip project, it will simultaneously promote the layout of supporting industries in the upper and lower reaches of the industrial chain, form an integrated industrial ecosystem of "R&D - Production - Application", and help Anhui improve the automotive chip industry cluster. Second, establish a new technology R&D center, integrate top domestic and foreign R&D resources, focus on R&D in areas such as RISC-V architecture technology iteration and automotive-grade chip performance optimization, and promote the rapid transformation of scientific research achievements into practical productivity. Third, take this project as an opportunity to fully promote the localization process of automotive electronic control units (ECU), break the monopoly of foreign technologies, and through the collaborative innovation of "chip + ECU", improve the independent and controllable level of core components of China's automotive electronics, injecting strong impetus into Anhui's efforts to build a highland for intelligent automotive technology innovation.
From participating in the world-class manufacturing event, to signing key industrial chain projects, and then to clarifying the direction of increasing investment and technological research, AECS has fully demonstrated its firm determination to jointly promote the upgrading of the automotive industry with Anhui. In the future, AECS will deeply integrate into the overall industrial development of Anhui, work closely with partners to ensure the efficient progress of the project, empower industrial development with technological innovation, and contribute to Anhui's realization of the goal of integrated development of "R&D, whole vehicles, parts, and after-sales market" and China's leap from an "automotive power" to an "automotive powerhouse".
