The special geographical environment forms extreme weather conditions. As the cold current from Siberia arrives, Manzhouli, one of China’s coldest cities, will show a fantastic scene full of ice and snow. In this city, the average temperature in winter is -30℃, therefore the extreme coldness makes it a natural testing ground for the auto enterprises that value the quality much to do performance and environmental tests. Manzhouli is located in the northwest of Hulunbuir steppes in Inner Mongolia, bordering Greater Khingan Mountains in the east, Hulun Lake in the south, Mongolia in the west, and the Russia in the north. Its lowest temperature in history is -44.9℃. As a Chinese saying goes, keep practicing even in the hottest time in summer and the coldest time in winter, AECS chooses Manzhouli that has the extreme environment as the battlefield for the 2019 winter test.
With almost obsessive pursuit of technology and quality, and the courage to challenge the extreme coldness, the test team led by the directors of the research institute set out from Beijing, starting the 22-day winter test from December 18, 2018 to January 8, 2019.

The whole winter test lasted about a month. A series of tests in the extreme coldness have ensured the vehicle calibration quality and better performance and accumulated a lot of testing data and results, which will further improve the R&D capability.

Besides engineers from AECS, about 40 people from many customers including liuzhou Wuling Automobile, Baoding Changan, Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile, Golden Dragon, DAE, DAAE, Lifan Junma, MAXUS also witnessed the low-temperature test.
AECS was founded based on the technological achievements from Tsinghua University, and is a national high-tech enterprise. The company mainly engages in electronic control products for engines and new energy vehicles. As it was announced on July 1, 2019 that the China 6 standard would be implemented in advance in key areas across China, AECS would have more opportunities in the market. At present, the company has more than 40 China 6 projects in research, which will gradually go into mass production this year. The annual sales are estimated to reach 400,000-500,000 units if all projects are put into mass production.
